staged musical play (opening in 1957) by
writer Arthur Laurents, choreographed by
Jerome Robbins who co-directed with Robert

Lehman, The film retains the beautiful
and electrifying musical score, songs and
lyrics of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen
Sondheim. This year we celebrate the 50th
anniversary of the original work!
